In Such a Hurry

I'm in such a hurry for the good stuff to get here. The feeling of anticipation feels an awful lot like anxiety, but it's not, it's the thrilled hope that something good is round the corner. But I can't be in hurry. A little bit of patience never killed anyone, did it?

The good stuff is all around you - you just need to stop looking for it to see it. Things like a cute puppy, the smile on a child's face as they skip down the road, a cute stranger on the bus, a laugh with a friend: These are the good times. Don't miss them while waiting for something 'special' that may or may not actually happen.

I may not always be so optomistic, but at the moment my happy pills are helping, but you can do it without them. :)

Yeah, that was what I was trying to get across.

Technically, a little bit of patience has probably killed quite a few people. People on sinking ships, or the Indiana-Jones-lookalikes who didn't get out of the trapped chambers quickly enough, for example.

And polite people who let others get in lifts before them, and then die of old age waiting for their turn.
